Made in Britain member Grant Westfield is showcasing their Multipanel brand, the UK’s leading brand of waterproof decorative panels for bathrooms and kitchens as part of its new 2018 collections at KBB exhibition in Birmingham on 4th-7th March. They have worked very closely with fellow Made in Britain member Formica Group, the world's largest manufacturer of decorative surfaces and high pressure laminate, and also with Linda Barker, one of Britain’s best known and respected interior designers.
“Synchronising Multipanel’s 2018 collections with current trends has been a key focus of our collaboration with Linda and Formica Group,” says Gary Matthews, Sales Director at Multipanel.
“While many of today’s home renovators are in love with the idea of bathroom walls adorned with enormous slabs of stone, marble or wood, the cost of this treatment is prohibitively expensive. But, by harnessing Formica Group’s true scale capabilities, Multipanel has been able to satisfy the desire for the look and feel of these materials, but at a fraction of the cost to our customers.”
This True Scale technology has been adopted in the Linda Barker Collection for Multipanel. Here, panels have the authentic look and feel of Calacatta marble, fossilised timber and patinated corten steel.
The alliance with Formica Group is part of an overall strategy to source more materials from UK suppliers. Multipanel’s Managing Director, Sarah McLean said: “There is a clear business argument for sourcing materials from the UK including, reducing production lead times, reducing stock levels and a further reduction in our carbon footprint along with the ability to achieve better quality control and most importantly reducing delivery times for our customers.”
