Naturally Tiwa Skincare celebrates unprecedented success after BBC News Feature

Naturally Tiwa Skincare, a proudly UK-based business rooted in Milton Keynes, has experienced overwhelming success following a feature on BBC News. The story of resilience, innovation, and a commitment to natural remedies struck a chord with thousands, leading to a surge in orders and inquiries.

Founded by Shalom Lloyd, a qualified pharmacist with over 28 years of industry experience, Naturally Tiwa is built on three pillars: efficacy, planet-hugging sustainability, and ethical sourcing. Despite being told she needed £500,000 to start a skincare brand, Shalom remortgaged her home to follow her passion for creating a brand that integrates the power of natural ingredients alongside modern medicine.

The brand is proud to be B Corp certified, meaning sustainability is woven into its DNA, from product creation to packaging and partnerships. Naturally Tiwa works with charities such as MK Snap, which supports adults with learning disabilities by providing work and life skills. Through their partnership, Naturally Tiwa raises awareness and funds for the charity by using MK Snap to fulfil their growing orders. The brand also collaborates with Willen Hospice, making its products available through a unique partnership that helps raise funds for the charity through retail.

Naturally Tiwa’s ethos of doing good extends beyond the UK. The founder alongside her partners, built shea processing factories in Nigeria (JE Oils and Naturally Tribal Nigeria), ensuring ethical sourcing of raw materials while empowering local women through employment and economic independence.

Shalom Lloyd says, "We’ve always believed in the power of natural remedies to support skin health, and our products, while not treatments or cures, have delivered real efficacy to so many. We are all about simplicity, clean beauty, and understanding what works best for your skin. Our quirky, mostly waterless products bring something different, and we’re proud to offer a natural and ethical alternative."

This surge in attention highlights the growing demand for plant-based skincare solutions that are vegan, cruelty-free, and effective. The BBC article helped Naturally Tiwa reach the right audience at the right time, bringing their products to the forefront for people with skin conditions or undergoing treatment, and offering them a natural and gentle solution.

With partnerships across charities and ethical businesses, Naturally Tiwa continues to show that good business means doing good – for people, for the planet, and for communities.
