Needham Laser Technologies launches new Handheld Laser

Shropshire based Needham Laser Technologies are proud to announce the launch of a new product to our Core Range, the N-Lase Handheld. The introduction of a portable handheld system allows our customers to use the laser on surfaces of ANY SIZE. Meaning you can engrave surfaces that would be otherwise difficult to apply a laser to using stationary systems.

The N-Lase Handheld also allows for laser cleaning (amongst other things) to be conducted without the need for abrasive chemicals, water jetting, sandblasting, hazardous fumers or costly consumables.

A TRULY PORTABLE SOLUTION

The Handheld option allows the delivery system to be moved to the part to be marked. The cowl around the laser beam is pressed onto the part to be marked to set the correct working distance and to provide some primary protection from the laser light.

Optional sensors can be fitted to the cowl to detect when the part is in place which can be tailored to specific parts to be marked but they do NOT provide a fail-safe method to ensure the hazardous laser radiation is fully contained. A harness will ensure stable operation.

The laser head is also counterbalanced to enable easy location on the part and ensuring that the operator is not having to take its entire weight.

UPGRADES TO FIT YOUR NEEDS

The out-of-the-box laser system is already powerful and feature-rich. However, you can add upgradable features, such as larger lenses, on-the-fly marking, through-the-lens (TTL) vision, axis control or dedicated I/O, to take your production line marking to the next level.

USER FRIENDLY OPERATION

The user-friendly software is packed full of features. With a few mouse clicks, you can easily create text. shapes, logos and a variety of barcodes. The software also supports popular file formats, such as BMP, JPEG, PLT, DXF, and AI - allowing you to important your existing artwork and start marking.
