WHEN the aspirational social enterprise The Soap Co. was launched in 2015, it had big aims to reach John Lewis. At the time some people told them it would not be possible.
Well, The Soap Co., John Lewis is now singing Your Song! With products available through John Lewis online, The Soap Co.’s dream has come true.
Peter Holbrook, chief exec of Social Enterprise UK, said, “It is fantastic to see John Lewis & Partners leading the way in responding to the demand from consumers for ethical, quality, design-led products whilst also amplifying the impact they can generate by providing a platform for social enterprises.
“The Soap Co. is helping show that social enterprises are breaking into the mainstream – they are selling quality products, competing with established brands and showing consumers how another way of doing business is possible.”
The Soap Co. has been making a lot of noise on social media @_thesoapco. It has just hit 5,000 followers on Instagram and would love your support to get that number higher so they can provide even more jobs for people with disabilities.
This festive season The Soap Co. is encouraging people to #GiveGoodGifts. With John Lewis, that’s now been made much easier.
