Made in Britian member Northern Lights reveals an exciting transformation as part of a strategic growth initiative that matches their ambitious plans for the future. The project combines a comprehensive rebrand, reimagined website with seamless user experience, and new lighting collection aimed at the international hospitality market.
With a rich heritage spanning more than thirty-five years, the company’s commitment to quality British manufacturing is demonstrated across an impressive project portfolio. With design and extensive manufacturing capabilities all under one roof, it’s this comprehensive approach that positions them uniquely in the bespoke lighting sector.
A Fresh Outlook
The objective of the rebrand was to retain Northern Lights’ market-leading positioning, rich heritage and passion for British craftsmanship, while reflecting its reimagined brand values and the business as it is today.
“We undertook an extensive project that went deeper than simply refreshing our logo. It marks a period of transitional growth, bold expansion and realigning of our values,” commented Donna Bruce, Managing Director. “By uniting all our transformation efforts under a single compelling vision, we’re driving innovation and sustainability adoption, mobilizing our team, reshaping the product and service lineup to seize great opportunities, and reconnecting with customers in a meaningful way.”
Website Redesign
Along with the rebrand comes a new website offering a seamless digital experience. New functionality makes it easier for Northern Lights’ target market to specify their collection of made-to-order lighting. From requesting samples to viewing trade prices, trade customers can now request quotes and purchase directly online.
New Lighting Collections
Twelve new contemporary lighting collections, developed specifically for the international hospitality market, have been brought to life by their team of designers and master artisans. Exquisite metalwork is enhanced with contrasting finishes in matt black to light antique brass, all developed and applied in-house. Simple, elegant shades include opal glass, contemporary metal domes, and fabrics in oyster linen.
Each piece is designed, developed and manufactured in their 38,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Derbyshire with passion and a continued commitment to championing British craftsmanship.
Future Growth
Rounding off the intensive project, the company has invested in new state-of-the-art machinery, including a polisher, bandsaw and hi-tech laser, that allows for greater precision, improved manufacturing efficiencies and enhanced capacity.
