Perry Beeches Nursery - Birmingham

Perry Beeches Nursery School is a Co-Ed nursery for 3-5 years olds located in Birmingham.

The school aims to ensure all learners receive a high-quality, ambitious education, whatever their ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background, attainment or gender, so that all children have the best start in early education.

It inspires each child to achieve and extend their unique potential to take advantage of all opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

The school delivers a curriculum that is motivating and exciting, broad, and balanced, to maximise teaching and learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.
It is also committed to sustainability and to improve its energy efficiency levels.

Perry Beeches understood the benefits of upgrading to LED technology with regards to energy reduction and improved light levels, once its existing fluorescent lighting came to the end of its life.

“Galliford Try Facilities Management (GTFM) have recently facilitated the installation of LED lighting from the Lifecycle Plan which aim is to keep buildings in the conditions they were in, at handover in 2002. Perry Beeches Nursery is one of 12 Schools under this PFI 30-year Contract agreement.

GTFM worked closely with their Supply Chain Partners Barrie Beard Ltd to ensure the lighting meets lux and anti-glare levels.”

On completion of the project, the school teachers reported that they were very happy with the installation. The new LED luminaries have brightened up the building and the school is now making savings on its energy bill.
