PFF Health exhibited for the first time at the recent P4H England conference at the NEC, Birmingham. PFF Health's Commercial Director, Mark Foulger, shares his thoughts about the day.
P4Health is the key NHS procurement and supply chain event. With Health being a new division for the business, we knew that it would be a valuable opportunity for us to speak directly with NHS colleagues about our UK-made products.
It was great to be able to represent Health at what was the first major face-to-face event for us for a long time. It was good to see everyone there including the many British companies who like us, were supporting the conference and exhibition.
Hot topics covered on the day included lessons learned from the pandemic, Value-Based Procurement in NHS Supply Chain, Patient Safety Digitisation, and the evolution of framework agreements and dynamic purchasing systems.
Unsurprisingly, there was a significant focus on sustainability which is also one of the pillar values of PFF Health, along with creativity and innovation. Sustainability & social value in frameworks and addressing social & environmental benefits in tenders were high on the agenda.
PFF began producing polythene aprons last year and it has been an honour to support the DHSC with essential PPE for frontline workers. It’s also given the business the opportunity to diversify from our core production of packaging for the food industry by applying our plastics expertise and robust UK supply chain network.
We’ll be exhibiting again this year, at the HCSA conference in November. So, if you missed us at P4Health England, we may see you there.
