Russell Finex celebrates 90 years of innovation

Celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2024, Russell Finex’s success has been built by its commitment to delivering high-quality separation solutions and collaborating closely with customers to find a perfect solution.

Its journey started in 1934 by three builders, Victor Robinson, Charles Holliday, and Charles James Askham, who established the original company as RPA Builders. Shares in the company were later bought by Justin Hurt who went to develop a new patented sieving machine. These sieves were exclusively manufactured for the Ministry of Supply to assist the sieving of tracer bullet powders during the second world war.

Today, Russell Finex is a truly global business offering sieving and filtration solutions to over 140 countries with subsidiaries in the USA, Belgium, India, China and Brazil. This means customers enjoy local support wherever they are.

High quality equipment made by experts

The company’s 90 years of success is attributed to superior quality of both equipment and services. Designed, manufactured and marketed by sieving and filtration experts, key elements include:

  • An in-house development team who continually develop new and improving existing equipment
  • Specialised design office who work with customers to build customised machines that address customers exact requirements
  • Equipment built at our international headquarters in the UK to IS9001 standards

Some of Russell Finex’s machines from the 1970s are still in operation at customer sites today!
