The Finex® 22 delivers precise separation of oversized particles from viscous materials like tahini paste
Tahini, made from finely ground sesame seeds can vary in texture, from smooth and runny to thick and pasty. During the grinding process, small contaminants such as metal fragments or plastic particles can be introduced from processing equipment. These foreign materials are often undetectable by conventional systems but can compromise quality, safety, and compliance with food safety standards like BRC and FDA.
To address this, the Finex® 22 vibratory separator is used after the ball mill stage to efficiently remove these unwanted particles. In this demonstration video, tahini paste is screened through mesh sizes of 850, 600, and 400 microns. The 400-micron mesh delivered optimal results, ensuring a contaminant-free paste with the perfect consistency.
