Sheffield-made mowers give Dutch soccer the edge

GRASS cutters honed from Sheffield steel are providing a world-class finish to the turf for a Dutch football club.

The Go Ahead Eagles FC has invested in two Club Cadet INFINICUT® mowers to keep the grass trim at its De Adelaarshorst stadium.

Ronnie Janssen, head of operations at the club, said, “When we were in preparation for the Women’s Euro’s, UEFA strongly recommended we mow by hand so we looked around at the world of pedestrian mowers. Our club advisor had seen the INFINICUT® mowers in action at FC Utrecht so we hired two units for the duration of the tournament.

“With the fantastic results we achieved on the pitch, we were keen to buy our own following the event, which were delivered in November 2017.”

The mowers’ ATT Advanced Turf Technology was made and supplied by Sheffield-based Made in Britain member MTD Specialty Turf Products.
