Yes, small businesses (SMEs) are the backbone of any economy however, the impact of COVID 19 on businesses cannot be underestimated! Add to that the challenges of BREXIT and so many SMEs were in serious ‘survival mode’…..Naturally Tribal Skincare was no different!
The company stands today not only because they have great products, position themselves as a commercial business with ‘PURPOSE & IMPACT’ in its DNA but also credits its success to being born and bred in the one of the, if not the fastest city in the UK for economic growth and the hub where innovation flourishes – Milton Keynes!
Following their launch in Harrods Beauty Milton Keynes in April 2021, Naturally Tribal Skincare, a natural skincare company which is founded by women, led by women, made by women and with products made for everyone finds itself once again in the limelight, solidifying its place on the ‘proudly Milton Keynes’ pedestal as a leading indie beauty brand in the UK.
In March 2022, the company was selected as one of the 20 UK companies to showcase their brand at the 2022 Dubai Retail Summit by the Department of International Trade.
This was followed by Naturally Tribal Skincare securing the runner up position at the L'Oréal tech for good challenge/ competition which took place at this years The Good Business Festival in Liverpool.
And the icing on the cake took place at the 2022 Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards where for the first time in the awards' history, the overall Business of the Year was won by two businesses (Naturally Tribal Skincare & Emerging Markets Quality Trials) linked by their mutual founder, Shalom Lloyd who also took the award for Entrepreneur of the year.
Due to launch its facial range in April 2022, Founder Shalom Lloyd says “I am honoured, proud and overwhelmed! Being recognised for the value we bring means the world. These awards represent our community saying ‘well done’ we see you, we support you, we are behind you! I am proud to belong to a community of great business leaders, and customers who champion, support and uplift businesses by using our products”
In the words of Kate Hardcastle who recently featured the brand in Forbes: From Kitchen Table To Harrods; The Power Of MicroBusiness - “Micro-business leaders may be small but they are mighty - and with entrepreneurs like Lloyd committing to making change as well as profit we see another example of why small really can be beautiful”.
