Introducing the new wood fired ESSE range cooker - 1000 W Ecodesign
ESSE, pioneers of clean-burning stove design since 1854, is proud to introduce the 1000 W Ecodesign wood-burning range cooker. The 1000 W is the cleanest wood burning cooker they’ve ever built incorporating patented catalytic technology, used to clean the emissions and reburn smoke particles, the 1000 W releases just 0.04 CO emissions and as little as 20 mg/m₀³ of combustion dust.
ESSE 1000 W offers the best of both, dependable cooking performance and room-filling radiant heat all rolled into one beautifully hand-crafted range cooker. Welcoming warmth at breakfast and piping hot water – yes, there is even an optional domestic hot water boiler model. The surround heat from the firebox powers a large graduated temperature hotplate and three, generously deep, heat-retaining ovens provide stable radiant baking and roasting qualities.
1000 W is the upgraded, Ecodesign compliant successor to the revered ESSE 990. When powered by sustainably sourced seasoned firewood the 1000 W offers independence from less environmentally friendly fuel alternatives. The new Ecodesign 1000 W model measures up at 985mm wide by 900mm high by 670mm deep. Improved features include a redesigned hob profile, durable high performance hob finish, and deeper ovens to further minimise heat loss. Also, reduced clearances to combustibles allow fitting into more homes.
Inside the top left cast iron door is a glass viewing window to the fire. Four, simple to use, firebox and flue controls give an impressive level of temperature adjustment offering the user exceptional burn rate control for energy-efficient running. With an efficiency performance over 81%, the 1000 W extracts more heat from the wood, emitting minimal smoke and leaving only a small amount of ash. The 1000 WN wood cooker uses 1.4kg of seasoned hardwood per hour to maintain a heat output of 4.6kW. The ESSE 1000 WD wood cooker with domestic hot water boiler, requires 2.2kg of wood logs per hour for a heat output of 7.6kW, shared 6.2kW to the room and ovens and 1.4kW to heat the water.
