The crisis in Ukraine: message for Made in Britain members from John Pearce, CEO

THE on-going crises in Ukraine, as a result of Russia’s invasion, are of grave concern to us all.

Everyone at Made in Britain is united around very high business standards and a set of common values, encapsulated very clearly in our code of conduct. There may be limits to what we can do to change the economic outlook, but there is a lot we can do to support our membership and each other, as a platform for sharing knowledge, engaging with government on behalf of our membership and coordinating efforts to manage and limit the identified risks. I expect all of these efforts and more to be of growing importance.

Made in Britain will this week be putting in place a number of initiatives to support our business community in the coming weeks and months, including but not limited to:

Informing membership on trade and other sanctions with relevant commercial information from official sources.

Signposting members to official sources of information and disseminating any solutions that emerge via our website.

In the coming days, we will establish a clear channel of communications and support for members of Made in Britain which will start within the weekly MiB newsletter.

If you wish to write to us with your immediate concerns, for now, please use this email address: info@madeinbritain.org

John Pearce,
CEO Made in Britain
