THIS week, 15-19 November 2021, is International Trade Week.
The Department for International Trade (DIT) aims to encourage UK businesses to export and sell to the world, and showcase the long-term support that is available to help them do so. Figures show that businesses that export are more productive and pay their staff more. While the proportion of Made in Britain companies that export is significantly higher than the national average, only one in ten British businesses currently sell overseas.
Businesses across the country, particularly those considering exporting for the first time, are being encouraged to join the week-long event to get the inspiration and advice they need. If you would like to use the week as an opportunity to share your company’s export success and/or ambition via social media, please use #MadeInBritain and #TradeWeek.
There is a free business toolkit available to download from here with lots of useful assets and suggestions for their use. Made in Britain members could be mentioned on DIT channels, too.
The free toolkit includes:
- Key information about the week, useful links and contact details;
- Who to tag on social media;
- Where you can find branded assets to use on your platforms;
- What sort of content the DIT is looking to amplify during the week.
To speak to Made in Britain about international trade, please email: trade@madeinbritain.org.
