Design Reality designed the FitCheck® Technology to revolutionise the process of mandatory fit tests every time a respirator is worn. Respirator placement, operation and maintenance are presently regulated to the extent that self-reporting on daily fit checks and paper trails are required. The system integrates with any respirator to remove the subjective factors from fit-checking, enabling a quicker, more efficient method which can be remotely monitored and digitally tracked. Clear reporting on respirator performance gives peace of mind to both employers and employees, ensuring higher H&S standards and adherence visibility.
FitCheck® Technology eliminates doubt from fit-checking for anyone wearing a respirator or anyone who employs staff needing respirators for work. FitCheck® Technology can be upgraded to perform additional functions, depending on user needs. Its enclosures can be customised and branded on request. FitCheck® Technology is a higher than ordinary safety and prevention measure. As such, its employment signals not just adherence to the highest H&S global standards, but also as an endorsement of best industry practice.

Explain to us how your business has changed because of this innovation
International manufacturing has a tremendous impact on the world’s carbon footprint. To try and combat this, and support local jobs for local people, we increased our own in-house production capabilities, expanding our team and reducing our reliance on over-seas manufacturing.
Beyond investing in local manufacturing, we’re also looking at ways we can invest in more sustainable living ourselves. Whether its car-pools for staff, going paperless, using re-cyclable packaging or our flexible working from home policy we’re doing all we can to live more sustainably
Our future includes investing in a new eco-friendly production facility still located in North Wales. We will be taking this opportunity not only to invest in the local area but to also turn our ideas into a reality to make this a facility of the future!

As a Design Agency, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in our clients asking for eco-friendly, sustainable products, with low carbon footprints. While this has in part been encouraged by government initiatives, it seems that people are generally becoming more aware and concerned about how we as a society can go about constructing a more sustainable future.
As a Product Design Agency, we’re in a unique position to actively set about creating a more sustainable future by designing more eco-friendly products. Through designing reusable alternatives to disposable goods, utilising recyclable materials and utilising local production.
At Design Reality, we’re taking active steps towards the hope of a better, more sustainable future, through design, production and investment.
As a Design Agency, we’re involved in every aspect of product development, from concept to prototyping, development to production. As a result, we’re able to make positive sustainable changes to products through the way in which we design them.
