Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co. to launch new products at Burghley Horse Trials

Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co. will be launching new products at this year’s Burghley Horse Trials (5th - 8th September 2024).

Expanding their iconic Sandringham Wool Collection, the family-run business will further promote the comfort, possibilities and benefits of British wool by extending their bedding and introducing Sandringham wool pillows.

Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co. is a family-run business based in Wolferton, on Norfolk’s Sandringham Estate. Through handcrafted 100% British iron beds and 100% British wool mattresses and bedding, they prize longevity, sustainability and comfort. With over two decades of bed-making experience, Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co. knows what it takes to craft a supportive sanctuary of unparalleled sleep.

Artisanal craftsmanship of British materials is their signature. This is evident in their Sandringham Wool Collection. Hyperlocally sourced wool, exclusively from Sandringham Estate, is handcrafted in Britain to create sumptuous mattresses, enveloping duvets, aerated mattress protectors and now, wool pillows.

Reassuring, relaxing and reinvigorating. These sustainable practices take importing materials and labour from abroad out of the mix, ensuring a much lower carbon footprint than other retailers, whilst supporting local suppliers, sheep farmers and animal welfare.

It’s Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.’s first time at Burghley Horse Trials exhibiting in the Country Living Pavilion. The Country Living Pavilion is a premium selection of hand-picked exhibitors featuring the best of British, giving visitors a chance to meet the makers and support sought-after independent businesses.

“We’re proud to be exhibiting in the Country Living Pavilion at Burghley this year”, says Founder Amanda Oldfield. “Where better to demonstrate the quality of British wool bedding than Burghley, Lincolnshire- a showcase of British artisans to an international audience.”

Wool has played a fundamental role in the foundations of our country, the trade crucial to its economy. Lincoln is a county with a long history of wool, from as far back as the Middle Ages. “It’s home to rare breeds like the native Lincoln Longwool, so attending Burghley makes sense”, confirms Amanda.

The Country Living Pavilion is a destination for those seeking accomplished British craftsmanship. For many years, Country Living magazine has long supported small artisans, not dissimilar to Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.'s championing of handcrafted British materials and time-honoured techniques. Look out for the ‘Country Living Loves Artisans’ roundel, a sure sign of Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.’s reputation for long-lasting, quality craftsmanship.

Debuting new products at the 2024 Burghley Horse Trials, Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.’s much-loved Sandringham Wool Collection is being extended.

Standing above the rest, the Sandringham Wool Collection is guaranteed 100% made in Britain. Its low carbon footprint and hyperlocal sourcing of Sandringham wool makes it unique. Each product boasts breathable and hypoallergenic chemical-free wool, the simplicity of their craftsmanship a reflection of the natural fibres’ purity.

The launch of new Sandringham wool pillows offers optimal support and comfort. The loose fill sculpts and moulds to the sleeper, supporting their neck without the rest of the pillow staying flat and hard. What’s more, sleepers can customise their pillows at home to cater to their personal preference.

For those sub-zero nights when even an extra blanket or two can’t warm you up, look to Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.’s newest winter weight duvet. This sumptuously cosy addition is extra warm and abundantly filled. Light layers of Sandringham wool are encased in a soothing cotton cover for a calming sensation to invite peaceful slumber.

If you’re seeking a restful night’s sleep, then the Sandringham Wool Collection is the answer. Unlike memory foam or feather, Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.’s wool bedding is hypoallergenic and moisture-wicking, perfect for warm or cool sleepers and those who suffer from allergies. Avoid disturbed nights; feel relaxed and reinvigorated instead.

The Sandringham Wool Collection is one of the only wool bedding collections certified Made in Britain and the only collection in the East of England 100% grown, sourced and made in the British Isles. Many other British-made products are in fact only assembled in Britain.

Where better to launch Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.’s local wool bedding than just 50 miles away in the neighbouring county at Burghley Horse Trials?

Exhibiting in this year’s Country Living Pavilion, their artisanal handcrafted bedding will take centre stage, giving consumers the first chance to experience new Sandringham wool products.

Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co. showcases the possibilities and quality of local wool with signature craftsmanship that’s proudly and authentically British.
