Luxury, award-winning, women’s activewear brand, YANA™ Active held their first Wellness Workshop on Sunday 4th February in Fenwick’s Newcastle store to raise money for local charity, Newcastle Women’s Aid (NWA), and raised a huge £942.
Held in Fenwick’s colourful event space, Arthurs, YANA™’s Wellness Workshop was designed to empower their Everyday Warriors with knowledge from wellness and fitness experts in the North East, whilst raising money for NWA.
The Wellness Workshop kicked off with an active Pilates class from Meg Fynn, YANA™ Brand Ambassador and owner of Volt Fitness Studio and Cloud Pilates in the Lake District. The workshop then moved into a Q&A session with YANA™ Brand Ambassadors Meg & Josie who were joined by Dr Craig Rose PhD, founder of Doctor Seaweed – a supplement brand focusing of the health benefits of natural seaweed. It finalised with NWA branded cupcakes from Fenwick’s Mason and Rye and closed with a relaxing meditation session from Josie Baxter, YANA™ Brand Ambassador and qualified Forest Yoga Teacher. Each guest left with a YANA™ goody bag worth over £150, filled with sustainable, female-founded, wellness products via networking community ‘Buy Women Built’.
Co-founder and Director Charlotte Wilson explained “our Wellness Workshop was the first ticketed event we’ve held in Fenwick and in aid of our chosen charity, Newcastle Women’s Aid. We were so pleased to sell it out within a week.”
Since YANA™ Active’s launch in 2019, the brand has supported NWA each year with a key funding raising event and to date has raise several thousands of pounds for the charity, as well as donating a significant amount of clothing for women who need it most.
“The feedback on the day has been fantastic and we’re looking forward to hosting more events in the future with Fenwick. We’re so proud to support NWA, a charity who empower women to rebuild their lives following dangerous situations. We believe all women should feel empowered and safe” said Co-founder and Director, Sophie Wilson.
The next Wellness Workshop will take place on Saturday 18th May and tickets are now on sale via Eventbrite
