Product Description
Our six-wheeled furniture skate was originally designed to meet the specialised needs of a large logistics company, whose work involves delivering and installing vending machines and commercial chest freezers. It’s proved so popular with their teams – and other companies they work with – that we’ve added it to our catalogue and keep a number in stock.
Featuring six 80mm swivel castors for maximum strength and stability, the 950 x 490 six-wheeled furniture skate / dolly is ideal for not only for manoeuvring and installing commercial appliances but also for shifting larger items of furniture such as sofas and chests. Its ribbed rubber top surface prevents loads slipping, and its smoothly sanded hand-hole makes for easy carrying.
So long as the weight of the object/s being moved is evenly spread across all six castors*, this sturdy skate will carry loads of up to 500kg.
*It’s essential that great care is taken when loading items onto the six-wheeled skate, to ensure that heavy weights are not borne by one or two castors alone. Maximum loading capacity is dependent on both well-distributed weight and use on an even, non-bumpy surface.
