Product Description
Porthcurno blend is our premium, single source recycled Marine Nylon™
It comes from the MSC certified Cornish Hake fleet that sails out of Newlyn and we can trace it back up the supply chain to the polymer maker in Japan.
It is available as both 3D printing filament and feedstock for other manufacturing methods such as injection moulding.
Porthcurno is a drop-in replacement for virgin Nylon 6 in most applications and will take standard Nylon 6 compounding agents.
We have conducted a preliminary Life Cycle Assessment whose results show a 97-98% carbon saving when compared to virgin Nylon 6
