SPX.320 Lighting Area Controller

Product Description

The SPX.320 Area Controller is at the heart of the advanced SPECS3 lighting control system. The controllers is sited at a lighting distribution board and will provide autonomous control of all lighting fed from the board.

Sensor and LCM Connection
All sensors and switch plates within the area can either be connected back to the SPX.320, using a simple unscreened twisted pair cable called E-Bus, or plugged into the nearest LCM. E-Bus may be connected in a radial or spurred fashion and provides each E-Bus device with both power and communications. The SPX uses information and commands provided by the E-Bus devices to control the lighting settings within the area. As standard the SPX will communicate with LCMs using the rugged mains tolerant SPECS M-Bus. M-Bus can be either a separate twisted pair bus or integrated into a modular wiring/track system. With SPECS M-Bus technology E-Bus devices can be plugged directly into the LCM. Compatibility with
legacy mainsbourne systems can still be achieved with this Area Controller. Optionally an F-Bus interface can be added to allow SPR.20 Bluetooth Nodes to be added to the SPECS3 system.

Installation:

The SPX Area Controller should only be installed by in “no operation access” areas where access is only achieved by use of a tool and adjacent to the distribution board that supplies its area of lighting.
