Focus SB has taken delivery of a new state of the art high precision CNC machine as part of an ongoing investment programme.
This £130k+ investment adds to the company’s already three strong CNC machining centre capabilities. The addition of this latest CNC gives Focus SB a faster and more efficient machining centre with its added ‘cobot’ loading and unloading facility making it fully automatic.
Designed and custom built by Pinnacle CNC Machine Tools the impressive LV8 vertical machining centre with automation will machine blanks into apertured plates for all of Focus SB’s inserts for standard and special configurations.
The Pinnacle LV8 is a linear guideways machine that provides rapid tool change and high accuracy for demanding machining applications. The machine has been supplied as part of a turn key solution which includes a collaborative robot to enhance manufacturing efficiency. Much quicker than Focus SB’s existing CNC machines its new CNC will work out of hours, therefore increasing productivity.
In addition to this, following a debut collection of control switches launched in April, the company will be presenting more innovative new products over the next 12 months and this machine will be pivotal in the efficient manufacture of some of the more complex products being introduced.
Focus SB’s managing director, Gary Stevens comments: “The investment into this new CNC not only signifies our intention as a business to continue to reinvest profits for longer-term gain. It also continues our learning and development as a business in robotics and automation, which represents the future for British manufacturing to be competitive and innovative on the global stage. Finally, our continued commitment in designing and developing new products in line with our mission to be the number one brand for luxury designer electrical accessories has to be underpinned by an equal investment into the technology and machinery to manufacture them efficiently. We will be launching some exciting new designs over the next twelve months that will change the face of electrical accessory designs”.
