Made in Britain means exceptional quality and attention to detail

By Mary Keane-Dawson, Judge for the Impact Awards 2023.

The British hold a unique and highly enviable position in the world, as we are greatly admired for our ability to combine uniquely creative perspectives, to all manner of logistic, communication and technological problems, whether in the home, workplace, town, city or cyberspace. When this is combined with the universal equation of Made In Britain, meaning exceptional quality, exacting standards and attention to detail, there is no denying, our soft power of British means Best, is an incredible advantage. One I hope we will truly exploit on the world stage in the coming months and years.

Throughout my long career in the brand, communications and advertising strategy industry, I have been lucky enough to work with outstanding leaders who have brought these values to life, whether in automotive, software, financial services, manufacturing, airlines and/or consulting services.

As a nation, we are world leaders in the thinking that informs some of the globes most successful brands, and, as the British Interactive Media Association's 2022 Hall of Fame Inductee, as well as being a judge at this years 2023 Made In Britain Awards, it is with great pride and honour, that I am able to champion our incredible intelligence and operational know how, creating outstanding products and brands, which are focused on the very best customer experiences.

The 2023 Made In Britain nominees are exemplars to all, of these qualities and values, and I am eager to see this years entries. Good luck to everyone who enters!
