THE relentlessly positive messages from the Made in Britain organisation keep on coming with two new press articles published this week. Both written by John Pearce, CEO of Made in Britain, they continue to extol the benefits of British-made goods and mention members who are doing great work in their sectors.
Writing in Engineering Capacity magazine, Mr Pearce stated, "Over the last 18 months, there has been genuine, measurable growth and real progress in British manufacturing. We have seen evidence for cautious but very real optimism about the future of our industry in general, and the engineering sector in particular - a clear signal that British innovation is not just alive and well, but thriving."

Mr Pearce's theme for funding provider Fleximize's website was 'going green'. He wrote, "The pathway to success for environmentally friendly small businesses hasn’t yet been determined; we are mapping it together as we tackle this daunting challenge. Creating a common end goal and reaching a mutually agreed discourse around sustainability will be critical in the industry's mission to produce greener products and protect the planet.
"The green growth platform for British manufacturing businesses aims to help people normalize sustainability language, benchmark and promote their green credentials, engage with local communities, and showcase best business practices. At every level, Britain’s manufacturers are making the impossible seem feasible and helping each other to go greener, faster."
