Made in Britain’s work with British Ceramic Tile receives nomination for PR award

BACK in May 2018 members of Made in Britain came together for Clerkenwell Design Week and held a joint promotion at the British Ceramic Tile showroom on Seward Street.

Roman, the bathroom specialist, Whitebirk Sinks , March & May and representatives of Made in Britain, including CEO John Pearce, came together to listen to Amelia Calver from the V&A talk about how the decorative interiors of the V&A’s buildings and diverse archive of design patterns can be translated into more contemporary materials, as demonstrated in British Ceramic Tile’s V&A collection.

The gathering caught the eye of the Essential Kitchen and Bathroom Awards 2018. This has resulted in British Ceramic Tile being nominated for the PR Activity of the Year Award. The awards ceremony will be held in November so we’re keeping everything crossed in the hope that the collaboration is a winner.

Liam Poole, head of customer marketing at British Ceramic Tile, told Made in Britain, “We set out to demonstrate what a diverse manufacturing portfolio Britain has and how the designers and architects of the country can really tap into that”

By working together, members helped to create something that worked for everybody. It pays to look for synergies and opportunities for joint ventures.
