Steon are excited to announce the acquisition of our brand-new Goniometer. Considerable investment has been made to bring in this state-of-the-art equipment to bring our testing capabilities up to the highest standard. The 2-axis goniometer system captures the full 3D light distribution and the colour spectrum for all light source weighing up to 25kg and 200cm diameter, thus giving us all necessary data in one measurement.
With this addition to our facilities, our technical team can now measure the following from our premises in Lancashire:
- Light distribution
- Beam angle
- Total radiant flux
- Lumen
- Luminous efficiency
- Radiant energy
- Colour temperature
- Peak and dominant wavelength
- Chromaticity
- Colour rendering
We have also made additional investment in flicker measuring and DUT temperature equipment to give us further testing capabilities.
Upon completion of the tests, PDF reports, LDT (EULUMDAT) and IES files are created. Lighting simulations can be performed by transferring these files to software such as RELUX and DIALux.
All Steon components and luminaires go through rigorous testing procedures before being added to our product portfolio. The Goniometer tests certify that all our products adhere to the highest industry standards and regulations
