NEWTON Aycliffe-based shower maker Roman has spread its positive message across the north of England in a recent appearance on the BBC's regional news programme Look North.
David Osborne, chief executive of Roman, told Look North's Ian Reeve that Roman's business had not suffered as a result of Brexit. "If you were prepared going into it, it's been really very little issue," he said. "We've had no negative issues I can report."
The TV news team were visiting the Roman factory to follow up a recent report from the North-East England Chamber of Commerce that said 75 per cent of respondents to a survey had experienced difficulties trading with the EU and that 66 per cent were experiencing port delays or congestions.
Mr Osborne said that while there had been issues for people in groupage, part containers, the nature of Roman's product meant it only uses multiple full containers.
