Product Description

When the SPC.2010 is replaced by a permanent Simmtronic Head End, Simmtronic will transfer all of the emergency testing history and inventory information to the new permanent Head End, to ensure a seamless continuation of Head End functionality.

The SPC.2010 is a ruggedised version of the Simmtronic Head End. It is housed in a metal case the same size as a Simmtronic Area Controller. It can be mounted in a riser and can be powered from an adjacent Area Controller.

The SPC.2010 allows contractors to use the Head End Software for Fault Reporting and de-snagging, before the room for the permanent Head End is available, as it can be installed in any location with suitable signal. The SPC.2010 has both WiFi and Ethernet interfaces, allowing contractors to collect fault reports and produce snag sheets on site on any Windows PC or laptop, using Simmtronic Viewer software. As lighting equipment is installed, the SPC.2010 gives real time information on its status, allowing contractors to address issues at an early stage.

The SPC.2010 also contains a 3G/4G data modem attached to a mobile VPN (subject to survey of signal on site), from which Simmtronic can access the device remotely to assist with status reporting and fault finding.

Solution Features:

• Continuously updated status reports for all devices. The SPC.2010 actively monitors:
- All Simmtronic lighting control devices - area controllers, lighting control modules, presence detectors, switch plates and so on.
- All DALI devices.

• DALI device searching on all DALI buses
- Providing reports of how many devices are installed on each bus and how many are missing, before devices on the bus have been subaddressed.
- Speeding up DALI subaddressing, as all DALI ‘long addresses’ have been collected by the SPC.2010 ready for subaddressing.

• Early testing of emergency fittings, as soon as each one is installed, addressed and fitted with a battery.

• Early extraction of DALI inventory information - product model, serial number, software version etc. - to assist with any product-specific issues on site.

Project Case Study: 22 Bishopsgate, London:

“The SPC.2010 gives the installation team live and direct feedback on what’s happening in the field. With TwentyTwo, we were given permission by the client to use the Remote Viewer as well as the contractor. This really enabled a dynamic and proactive approach to commissioning, giving us the ability to approach the installation team with any issues, and making sure areas were clean for programming ahead of the site visits. It reduced overall site visits, and genuinely improves the working relationship between the contractor and supplier.” - Paul Carpenter, Commissioning Team Leader, 22 Bishopsgate

“Especially now, the big sites are trying to limit the number of people on site. This early commissioning tool is a great tool during the COVID era as you can see the progress on site by dialling in, and the contractors can be taught how to de-snag the faults. On 22 Bishopsgate it saved lots of time. The SPC.2010 follows our ethos of encouraging early off site commissioning. - Mario Costanzo, Director, Simmtronic.
