Product Description

This unit enhances the SPECS3 lighting control system to provide DALI control to hardwired installations such as stairwells, toilets, lobbies and corridors. This unit is suitable where luminaires with DALI ballasts and DALI inverters are used. The unit is designed to take up to two lighting circuits and provides a Live Out, Switched Live and a Maintained Live for each. This gives the option to mix DALI and non-DALI equipment.

This unit provides two DALI drivers (one per circuit); this reduces DALI delays and reduces the chance of losing all control should a bus fault occur. Each driver is capable of controlling half the total loading of 40 ballasts or transformers and 20 emergency inverters (see note). E-Bus drivers are also provided that can accommodate 2 x 12 devices like presence detectors and switches. Up to 2 x 12 SPECS3 Dual-Bus sensors can instead be connected to the DALI bus to facilitate luminaire wiring. The unit is controlled using a message format that includes error detection, using a single unscreened twisted pair cable called SPECS M-Bus.

Installation: 

The unit’s enclosure is a construction of rugged grey powder coated steel. Four fixing points are provided along with multiple 20mm conduit entries, making it suitable for installation within an electrical riser cupboard.
