Caribbean Blinds collaboration with Chemfix

We are always delighted to hear when Made in Britain members work together, especially when that connection was made through the Made in Britain network. Member firms can use the Made in Britain Members Directory to find new opportunities and connect with other manufacturers to help their businesses thrive. In a partnership last year, Chemfix helped Caribbean Blinds add an epoxy resin to their expanding portfolio of products.

Stuart Dantzic, Managing Director of Caribbean Blinds had always wanted to add their own Caribbean Blinds branded epoxy resin to their business, this would be used to anchor their award-winning awnings and pergolas to buildings. Stuart sought to find a resin that matched the high-quality product they already used but struggled to find a third-party solution.

However, as luck would have it, Stuart spotted a new member to Made in Britain who could potentially help. Chemfix were featured in the Made in Britain new members round- up, a company that develops and manufactures, among other things, products for industrial, construction, and DIY sectors. They are a white label company so providing Caribbean Blinds with their own branded epoxy resin would be an ideal partnership.

With a bit of help from the Made in Britain team, the two members collaborated.

As for the result, Stuart said, “From initial engagement to the delivery of the finished article, it took just two months, and the whole team were thrilled with the 1,500 tubes of CB-AWNFIX™, their own branded epoxy resin.”

Stuart continued, “We were looking for a high performance, fast-curing, styrene-free resin for the safest anchoring of awnings and pergolas into masonry and uncracked concrete, and Chemfix delivered. We were not disappointed!”

Since launching the product in March last year, Stuart can report that there have been absolutely no issues or flaws with the product, and Chemfix has provided exactly what Stuart wanted.

Chemfix Marketing Manager, Andrew Stewart, commented, “We were delighted to be contacted by Caribbean Blinds through the Made in Britain network, and even happier that we were able to supply them with the exact own brand product they were looking for, from a UK manufacturer. It was the perfect illustration of working in co-operation with other like-minded companies, made possible by being a member of Made in Britain.”

Stuart at Caribbean Blinds also added, “Once again, Made in Britain linked two quality brands who collaborated, created and cemented a fantastic working relationship.”
