Product Description

Designed to be mounted onto larger remotely operated vehicles, the Cygnus ROV Mountable ultrasonic thickness guage has been depth rated to 500 m and can operate within the harshest operating conditions expected from subsea inspections.  The ROV ut thickness gauge is supplied with CygLink software that reveals date, time and thickness readings on the surface which may be logged or stored.

As with all Cygnus ultrasonic thickness measuring instruments, the Cygnus ROV Mountable employs the multiple-echo measuring mode which provides error-checked, accurate thickness measurements through coatings up to 20mm thick, when used in ‘Deep Coat’ mode.  So, protective coatings and paint do not have to be removed.

Also available to purchase, in addition to the Cygnus ROV Mountable, is the Topside Repeater (TSR).  The TSR displays thickness measurements remotely and overlay them on to a video signal, allowing measurements to be superimposed on the ROV camera’s monitor screen.
